Early on, Mike and I (Steph) talked about the idea of adoption in the future. Over the next few years, we worked with a nonprofit to serve international college students in Clemson and Greenville. We met so many students from all over the world: China, India, Kenya, Rwanda, Taiwan, Turkey, Nepal, Israel, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, etc. We have loved getting to know the students and their culture, as well as sharing our lives with them. In recent years, many of our friendships were with students from India. Our hearts grew greatly for this specific people and culture. So, we revisited the topic of adoption and decided to begin pursuing international adoption, specifically from India.
We are excited for this next step to welcome another child to be a part of our family.
In this process we have applied for grants to help with the financial side of adoption. The Lord has provided us with 2 matching grants through Lifesong and Josiah’s Adoption Fund. These total to up to $6,000 (if we raise $6,000 then they will match that, if less they will match that as well). We would love to have 60 friends & family to partner with us by giving a $100 to meet this matching grant goal! Feel free to give more or less. If we raise above the goal, it will still go towards the adoption!

- In following IRS guidelines, your donation is to Lifesong for Orphans. This organization retains full discretion over its use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggested use.
- Lifesong is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Individual donations of $50 or more and yearly donations totaling $250 or more will receive a tax-deductible receipt. Receipts for donations under $50 will gladly be sent upon request.
