Over the past year-and-a-half we’ve been praying about whether to start the adoption process again. God has given us so many signs that we know for sure adoption is to be a part of our story again.
Over the past eight months we have been going through all the paperwork, references and home study. We have completed everything and are now live with Adoption Support Center, the same agency we used before.
Adoptions have slowed down considerably lately, so we expect there to be a longer wait this time. With Turner’s energy, we lose track of days, so it has been an easier wait so far. He is very excited to be a big brother. He now thinks every baby is his!
We have been given a generous matching grant, up to $8,000. With government tax credits and grants, it still is a very expensive process and has increased in the past two years significantly.
If you decide to provide financial help, you will receive tax credit for your donation and it will be matched by our grant. Please don’t feel any obligation to give. We have had several people ask how they can be involved, so wanted to make this available.
Whether you can give or not, we would appreciate your prayers for the birth parents out there that are making a selfless and hard decision for their child. We pray we are able to come alongside them and support however we can.
