Help Daleena and Jeremy bring home their daughter from China

Green
Green Prineville, Oregon

We have stepped out in faith believing we are being called to adopt again.  Believing God has called and He will provide the means.

We have been given a generous gift from Lifesong for Orphans. A match grant that will match dollar for dollar up to $2,000 and every penny goes towards our adoption and you can get a tax-credit for any donation made.

We know God desires orphans of all nations to be adopted into Christ-honoring families so they can hear the Word of God and ultimately be adopted into God’s eternal family through faith in Jesus Christ. While God calls us to fulfill James 1:27 and “visit the fatherless” not all are called to adopt.

Some are called to pray, some to give financially, some to go on mission trips, and some to adopt.

We trust God to provide and ask that you might prayerfully consider if He may be laying it on your heart to help us to bring home our second daughter. To bring home a child into our family so that she can hear of Jesus our Lord and our Savior. That she may be called into the flock and the house hold of faith.

Thank you for your love and support!

God Bless ~ Jeremy and Daleena

Story Behind the Journey:

In January 2016 Jeremy went on a mission’s trip to Nepal with our church (see Nepal video above, the girl whom we speak of is at the very end wearing a rabbit eared hat).  While there, God placed in his path, a little girl who melted his heart. God would use her beautiful face to call Jeremy to action. Jeremy knew we couldn’t pick-up and move our family to Nepal – at least not now – but he also knew that we have extra room in our house and at our dinner table and that we might not be able to afford much but we could afford to feed and love and care for another child.

God set Jeremy’s heart on fire to adopt again.

Upon coming home Daleena kept bugging him about what God had done while he was in Nepal and finally Jeremy confessed what had been laid so heavy on his heart.  God had also been softening Daleena’s heart to the idea of adopting again, but this did come as a shock and it took some time and much prayer and conversation before she was feeling the confirming call.

Once the decision was made it was all about where and when.  Daleena wanted to wait maybe a year or more before starting the process still hesitant about the journey.  Jeremy was believing the call was now and felt a sense of urgency to get started.

We agreed to keep taking steps forward and to wait and see what God’s timing would be.

Simply walking in faith that God would show his plan and his timing.

After looking into Haiti and Burundi, Africa -God lead us straight back to China.

The next step seemed so clear, we would contact the agency we used when we adopted Aisja and get on the wait list.  It turned out the wait list was 18 months minimum so again thinking ok, God is saying we are supposed to just save and wait.

Then Daleena came across the picture of a beautiful little girl named Helen on Rainbow Kids who was needing a family.  We discussed it and decided to contact the agency.  Helen’s file was available, she had not yet been matched with a family.  So we reviewed her file and Daleena grew more and more in love with her. Yet prayerfully desiring for God to reveal His plan and with time, it became clear that Helen was not our child.  She had a blood disease that we would not be able to manage in Central Oregon.

In the process of this wrestle we discovered Gladney Center for Adoptions an agency out of Texas with a small China program.  We interviewd families and program staff and looked at all the details and it became clear God was showing us a new direction, a new agency and interestingly enough… Gladney only had a six month wait list.

We could start the process now no more waiting.

In April we began the paperchase.  Even though we are going back to China, we still had to start the process from scratch with a new home study and new dossier.  We hit the ground running and on October 17th we submitted our dossier to China.

We are now waiting to be matched with our daughter.  This could happen at anytime.  We are excited, nervous, hopeful and continually prayerful over the process and our waiting daughter.
