We have grown our family through adoption before. Each journey is unique in it’s own way and a miracle. This one is no different.
The question needed answering! Were we going to sign up for this journey again? The answer is YES!
We were not sure at first how God was going to work things out. We were willing to put it all on the line and see where God took us. We simply did not have a path forward starting in the early Spring of 2021. A couple months later that changed with the housing market. By mid-May we had the signs of that path forward. We have worked intensely hard since then to have all the paperwork ready to go. We have an agency we trust and we are now in the “birth mother” waiting pool. However, with the trend of higher birth parent support expenses we have had to decline several opportunities that have been offered to use for their consideration.
We are thrilled to say that we have been approved for a dollar for dollar matching grant, up to $6000.00 from Hear the Cry Adoption Fund(administered by Lifesong of Orphans). Part of the work we put in was applying to foundations that have a heart for the child in need. Lifesong is one of those foundations. We are leaving no stone unturned! Our pride was hoping that the need to fundraise this time was unnecessary. We have been humbled to say that it is needed and we are grateful for all who choose to come along side us in financial support, as well as prayer support. We have seen God move mountains as we step forward in Faith. This is a tax deductible donation option. Individuals and corporate donations(a potential source for year end reconciliations) are welcomed.
We will continue to work hard and do all we can on our part to chip away at the need. We are laser focused and grateful for the encouragement that Lifesong and others who have partnered with us in this journey.
