“Do for one what you wish you could do for all.”
For us, the one is a little girl in India. We pray for her and over her every day, even as we wait to clearly identify the child that Christ has prepared to join our family.
We know her now: Valyn Kelsey Gibson
Anyone familiar with the adoption process knows it is not easy or convenient, but it is a blessing. While we have already been stretched in numerous ways, the Lord’s calling on our lives in this endeavor continues to be confirmed. At the outset, God placed a burden on Brooke’s heart: a passion that Timothy eventually came to share. From that point on, time and time again God has shown Himself faithful through the loving support of His people.
He continues to stretch us. Now with the process of waiting, even amid the impact that COVID-19 has had upon our world.
We have already surpassed the halfway point financially in our adoption journey. Plus, we know that we have been approved by all the proper channels to travel once we are officially matched: something we would like to do as quickly as possible.
We have met so many milestones to this point (and we are beyond thankful for the support we have received). Our primary needs going forward will be travel and court fees, and the money that we are personally trying to save in order to deal with some of the special needs our daughter will have upon coming home.
Gifts of over $50 to LifeSong to our account are tax deductible. We have met our matching grant.
We thank you in advance for making a difference for our little girl and being a part of her story by continuing to give to see this journey reach its completion. Our oldest son said it best: “We know that this is God’s will, so He will provide us with the little girl He intends for our family and provide for all of our needs.”
Yes, the Lord is doing precisely that!
