Mayes Family Adoption

Nathan Mayes Bethel, Missouri

We are the Mayes’s! We are a family of 5 (currently). We were married in 2005. Our family grew as we had three wonderful children, Ariana, Wesley and Eden.

Nathan, the weird and sometimes annoying husband, was adopted from South Korea when he was 2 years old. Jennie, the beautiful and wonderful mother and wife (the annoying husband wrote this), has always had a desire to adopt from an early age.

God brought us together to build a family and after talking and praying about it, and Nathan’s own adoption related journey (ask him about it sometime), we felt strongly that this was the season to grow our family through adoption.

So, the short of it, is that we have a burden to adopt and with that comes the great joys and sometimes roadblocks. One of the great roadblocks many adopting families have is that the financial need is so great. On average, an international adoption costs between 35,000 – 45,000.

We are facing that same hurdle. Being a family, involved in ministry for a living, the funds are sometimes tight. However, we believe in a big God.

God has provided us with this incredible platform that Lifesong has so lovingly offered to help us face the financial need. They have also offered, with partnership with a local church called Wellspring Baptist Church, to match up to $2,500. God is so good!

We are currently at the end of our adoption process so we are simply asking for the amount we feel we need for this last step. There are several costs that will be needed to be taken care of in the next few months so please help in anyway you can.

Please feel free to contact us and we would love to tell you more of our story or answer any questions.
