Evans Adoption Journey

Natasha Evans Somerset, Kentucky

We are the Evanses. Paul, Natasha, and Dixie. Welcome to our adoption journey.  We appreciate you taking the time to look at our page and show interest in what the Lord is doing in our life. Most of all, we desire your prayers as we continue on this journey. We live on a farm with many different animals. Among those animals are cows, horses, goats, sheep, dogs, and cats. For fun we ride horses and camp. We are very active in our church.

When we first got married we talked about maybe one day adopting. That was approximately 9 years ago. Then on a Sunday morning in December 2019, I (Natasha) felt God telling me we should adopt. I told Paul that morning and I expected hesitation or let's think about this. But instead I got a yes, let’s do this. We prayed about and talked with our friends and ultimately decided God was telling us to adopt. I began researching different types of adoptions and cost. In June 2020 we completed our home study.

We at first decided on adopting from foster care then decided to focus on domestic adoption. We are currently in the waiting process of adoption. Waiting to find our forever child, that God has meant for us.

We are looking at anywhere from $20,000 to $40,000. Although, with our budget we would like to remain under $30,000. I am working extra hours at school with COVID when teachers are absent and saving that money for adoption. We have some money already set back that we have saved.

Love,

Paul, Natasha, Dixie, and our future child :)
