Hello! Thank you so much for taking the time to hear our hearts for adoption and read a little bit about our story. We’re so excited to share that we are adopting a newborn child, domestically!
From early in our childhood, the desire to adopt was placed on our hearts by the Lord. As we grew, so did this calling. On our first date, we discovered that we shared the same desire to adopt! Conversations about our future family always included the dream of both biological and adopted children. The Lord continued to affirm this path, reinforcing the importance of opening our hearts and home to those in need. After we were married, the timing seemed right to embark on our adoption journey. However, the Lord had different plans, blessing us with the arrival of Colson, and shortly after, Arlo. Through this we recognized the Lord’s perfect timing and decided to patiently wait on our adoption journey.
We fully believe that now is the time for us to open our home and add another amazing child to our family. The Lord has called us to this for a long time and now that it is coming to fruition we are so excited to see what He has planned for our family. Adoption is not easy for anyone involved, but with the love and grace of the Lord we know that He can make all things beautiful. He continues to weave a beautiful life story, and we are confident that the child He brings us will be another beautiful chapter in His story for our family. We embrace this journey with open arms and trust the Lord’s guidance as we continue on this incredible journey to expand our family through adoption.
We started working with Christian Adoption Consultants in April of 2023, and through them we are doing a multiple-agency approach. This allows us to work with various adoption agencies across the United States. Each step brings us closer to the moment when our lives will be forever changed, and we eagerly anticipate the arrival of our newest family member with love, hope, and unwavering excitement.
We’d love for you to walk alongside us in our adoption journey! There are a few ways that you can support us and the child we will adopt. First and foremost, we need your prayers! Pray for us as we follow the Lord during this journey. We need peace, wisdom, and guidance on what we know will be a difficult road ahead. Pray for the child who we’ll adopt and their birth mother and father, and for our boys during this process as we transition into a family of five.
Along with prayer, you can support us by partnering with us financially. We expect the total cost of our adoption to be around $50,000. We’ve been blessed to receive a matching grant of $6,000 through Lifesong for Orphans! This means that they’ll match dollar for dollar, up to $6,000! Every dollar donated on our Lifesong page is tax-deductible and directly helps our family cover all adoption-related expenses. These expenses typically encompass home study costs, adoption agency fees, legal fees, and birth mother expenses, including medical bills and counseling. Additionally, they cover travel to the state where the child is born and lodging for us while we are there. While the costs can be substantial, we look forward to the profound joy and fulfillment of welcoming another child into our home.
Thanks for your desire to learn more about our adoption journey! Please pray for us and consider partnering with us. We’re excited to see what the Lord has in store for our family as we follow Him on this journey! If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
