Dear Family and Friends,
Lyndsi and I have always tried to plan out what we thought our lives would look like. We thought we knew. But God has had other ideas for us, things we never imagined. Lyndsi and I grew up very close to each other and we were high school sweethearts, married at a young age we had a desire for a bigger family. At first, things did not go as we had hoped. It took almost three years before getting pregnant with our first child Luke, due to extreme complications Luke passed away one day after being born. Our next two children came very quickly along with difficult pregnancies but we feel blessed to have two beautiful girls. We have always felt called to adopt and in 2017 we started the process to adopt our son David Seungjun. In June 2018 our prayers were answered and we were able to bring our son home from South Korea. He has been such a joy and blessing in our lives. Growing up one of Lyndsi’s closest friends was adopted and that along with a strong nurturing instinct and our previous adoption led us toward our decision to adopt again.
After countless nights of research and prayer, now we feel called to expand our family even more from China. We started the process in August 2019 and can’t wait to be matched with a boy or girl. God has blessed our family more than we ever thought possible and has continued to do so with our second adoption process. Our whole family can’t wait till the day when we get to bring home our new son or daughter home.
One of my favorite versus in the Bible is ‘With God all things are possible’ (Matthew 19:26). This has been a verse that has helped shape my life through being homeschooled, Military career and my Law Enforcement career lead me without doubt to believe that with God all things are possible.
When we took the step of faith in 2019, saying yes to our call to adopt, we questioned the Lord as to how this adoption would be funded. Now that we are looking at adopting a child our expenses are expected to total roughly $35,000. I can tell you that God has been such a faithful provider for our needs since we began. We are humbled and blessed the way he has moved hearts so generously give towards our adoption journey. During these difficult times even if you are unable to donate financially your prayers mean just as much in supporting us. We are so excited to expand our family through adoption and cannot wait to bring our new son or daughter home.
We have also been blessed to recieve a $4,000 matching grant from We Care for Orphans adoption fund (administered by LifeSong for Orphans) that will be used to match your donation.
