We are excited to announce that we are growing our family through adoption! We have partnered with Lifeline Children's Services to pursue domestic adoption. We've completed our homestudy process, and we're awaiting being matched.
Even from our dating years (yes, years, Dave and I can be a little hard-headed…), we talked about the beauty of the Gospel in adoption and our willingness to adopt. Then in our early years of marriage, as we considered starting a family, we again talked about our desire and willingness to adopt. Along came two biological children, filling our home and lives with energy and noise.
So two years ago, when we talked about whether God would have us expand our family again, we returned again to the idea of adoption. This time, we felt more than a general sense of willingness. This time, we felt certain that God had a plan for us to adopt. Through our precious nephews and niece, and countless families we’d encountered over the years, we had seen the grief and the hope of adoption. We saw how God brought peace and restoration in the midst of crisis and brokenness (Isaiah 61:1-4).
We, as a family (our boys included), want to welcome the messiness and heartbreak that can come with adoption. We believe that God loves to bring beauty from ashes. He has a loving plan for each birth mom and child in crisis, and He wants to use our family to bring the light of the Gospel into hard places through adoption.

We have been awarded a $3,500 matching grant from Josiah’s Adoption Fund, administered by Lifesong for Orphans. Lifesong has been blessed with partners who underwrite all U.S. administrative and fundraising costs (TMG Foundation and other partners). That means 100% of your donation will go directly to the adoption.
- In following IRS guidelines, your donation is to Lifesong for Orphans. This organization retains full discretion over its use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggested use.
- Lifesong is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Individual donations of $50 or more and yearly donations totaling $250 or more will receive a tax-deductible receipt. Receipts for donations under $50 will gladly be sent upon request.
