Hello! We are Ian, Alyssa + Oliver! We are the Casper family, residing in Lancaster county, PA. We are excited and thankful to have the opportunity to share a brief glimpse of our story with you.
We have always wanted to grow our family through adoption, as adoption has been a part of our lives for nearly our entire lives. Ian’s step-sister was adopted at a young age, Alyssa’s mom worked at a foster care agency for over 20 years, and many of our close friends have used adoption as a means of growing their families.
We were blessed with our son, Oliver, after a high-risk pregnancy in 2018. The pregnancy came as a complete surprise! Alyssa has undergone a total of three brain surgeries since 2009, culminating in a radiation treatment after Oliver was born in 2018. As a result of these 15 years of treatments, we find ourselves in a place where the best way to grow our family is by opening our home and hearts to a child in need. We continue to be amazed by God’s provision in our lives and have no reason to believe he won’t continue to bless this undertaking now.
We are stepping out in faith and trusting that the Lord will continue to provide in extraordinary ways. You can be a part of this by:
1) praying for our family, as we prepare to give a home to the precious child God has picked out for us, 2) praying for the birth family, as they prepare to make the loving and selfless decision to find a loving home and family for their baby, 3) pray for the child, as it grows strong and healthy, wherever they may be at this point, and 4) make a monetary donation to help us meet our goal of $50,000 by May 1, 2025.

If donating via credit/debit card:
STRIPE charges an online processing fee (2.2% +.30 USD per transaction)*. Your donations will be decreased by this amount to accommodate the transactional expense.
Lifesong has been blessed with partners who underwrite all U.S. administrative and fundraising costs (TMG Foundation and other partners). That means 100% of your donation will go directly to the adoption.
Charitable Gifting & Tax Deduction Information:
- In following IRS guidelines, your donation is to Lifesong for Orphans. This organization retains full discretion over its use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggested use.
- Lifesong is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Individual donations of $50 or more and yearly donations totaling $250 or more will receive a tax-deductible receipt. Receipts for donations under $50 will gladly be sent upon request.
