Casch Family Adoption

Our hearts have longed to adopt since our dating days. We had discussed adoption as a way to grow our family and continued to pray throughout our marriage that God would make it clear when the time was right.  After our daughter Emery was about a year old, we started discussing when we would like to have another child. As the time we ideally wanted to start trying again biologically became closer and closer, we realized that neither of our hearts was ready for another child. We decided to table the idea for a few months. After many talks and prayerful discussions, we decided that God was preparing our hearts for adopting our next child. In March of 2020, we went to a local adoption agency for an informational night about the different kinds of adoption. I remember getting into the car after the meeting and looking over to Ryan who had a big smile on his face and he said “lets do this!”. One week later we stepped out in faith and filled out the initial application.

After looking at all the available countries open for adoption, Ryan and I agreed that South Korea was the right fit. We are eight months into the adoption process and while adoption has no guaranteed timeline, we are hoping to bring our future child home in the next seven to ten months. As many people know, adoption can be very expensive. We don’t try to understand the reasoning behind adoption costs, all we can do is follow the calling we have been given and trust in our Lord.

Thank you for partnering with us and helping us grow our family.
