Bringing Olive Home

We have always wanted to have a large family and we have been blessed to have two biological sons, Ephraim and Emerson. We have always longed to grow our family through adoption. We know that God has adopted us into His family and there are so many children out there in need of the love and safety of a family. We feel that God has brought us on this journey to show God's love to a child who needs a family.

God has been teaching us through this experience to trust in Him and His perfect timing. We originally were in an Ethiopia adoption program and waited over two years. The country seemed to be getting more unstable with adoptions and the wait continued to increase. When we heard there were more waiting children with special needs in India than there were families, we prayed hard. We know God has used this to open our hearts more to special needs. We are so grateful that God is orchestrating the plan for our family.

We have been trusting God with the finances to complete our current adoption process. The cost for international adoption is overwhelming and we have had some financial strains over the last year. We used a lot of our savings in the Ethiopia program and did lose money when we decided to transition to the India program. Also, our youngest son has had medical issues over the last year requiring surgery and multiple visits to 3 specialists. He is doing very well now but this has been a financial strain on our family over the last year. Our adopted child will also require multiple surgeries once we arrive back in the states.

We have paid our homestudy, dossier building fees, CARINGS registration, and 2 of 3 of our program fee installments. We still owe most of our referral fees ($8,500) and also our travel expenses (estimated up to $13,000). We have received $5000 in grants to go towards our travel expenses. We have depleted our savings and we are now in the final stretch of our adoption process!

We are SO grateful to have received a matching grant from Lifesong for Orphans! Money donated through this link will be DOUBLED up to $2000! This is HUGE for us!

Thank you so much for coming alongside our family! We are truly grateful for each of you!!!

“This is my First Fruits offering for 2017. I prayed and was led to give it to Olive and your family. May it help bring her home.”
