Bringing Lilly home!

Chris and Susan Allen
Chris and Susan Allen Eaton Rapids, Michigan

Over the past several years we have prayed about fostering or adopting children because our children are grown and we are not ready for an empty nest. We have always enjoyed working with children, most recently teaching the children of our church about Jesus.

Our youth pastor and his wife have adopted several children from China and we are blessed as we teach them every Sunday at church.  They advocate for orphan children, posting many on Facebook. This is where we first saw Lilly back in January 2017 and where our journey began…

Of all the children they post, Lilly really stuck out to us.  We prayed a great deal about her and God made it abundantly clear that He wanted us to pursue adoption of her.  This was definitely a leap of faith as we had no idea how we would fund this adoption.  We completed the paperwork and were granted a pre-approval from China.

So far, through the grace of God, we have miraculously been able to pay all of the government, education, agency, and homestudy fees....thank you Jesus for your provisions!!  It is the travel expenses (2 weeks in China) and in country fees where we could use your prayers and support.

Our fundraiser for Lilly will create a puzzle for her bedroom.  Each donation will purchase a puzzle piece and your name will be written on your piece, denoting your support in bringing her home.  If you would prayerfully consider making a donation we would be very grateful!

STRIPE charges an online processing fee (2.2% +.30 USD per transaction). Your donations will be decreased by this amount. You may also send a check payable to “Lifesong for Orphans”. In the memo line please write “Allen 7330”, to ensure it is credited to our account. Please mail to Lifesong for Orphans, PO Box 40, Gridley, IL 61744.

Lifesong has been blessed with partners who underwrite all U.S. administrative and fundraising costs (TMG Foundation and other partners). That means 100% of your donation will go directly to the adoption.

  • In following IRS guidelines, your donation is to Lifesong for Orphans. This organization retains full discretion over its use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggested use.
