Bringing Lia Home

Kari Bogusch
Kari Bogusch Forney, Texas

If you don’t already know, the Bogusch family is adopting again! In 2018, we adopted Zachary from China. We believe God has spoken to us in many ways which has led to our family’s decision to adopt. God has placed a message on our hearts to open our family to others. Having Zach at home and watching as he has blossomed and how he shares his enthusiastic personality with us, has opened our hearts to wanting to be blessed with another child. Adoption has a special place in our hearts. Every child deserves a safe, secure, family, but most importantly, we think a child can provide our family with so much more. This time around God has spoken to our hearts in a different way. God spoke to our older children by placing in their hearts the desire to bring an older child into our family. We would like Zach to experience an older sibling who shares his heritage and culture. We believe that our new child will thrive in an environment of having a sibling from the same birth country and from a similar background. As both Zach and his new sibling grow, sharing these similarities will allow each of them to feel they have a connection. We are sure the addition of a new child will bring new adventures to our family, but also feel the new child can provide Zach someone whom he can look up to and share experiences with. We feel God is using adoption to help our biological children become more compassionate and understanding individuals as they grow to be adults.

We have been matched with a beautiful, 11-year old little girl from China. Our Lia has spent all of her life without a family. We would like to bring her home as soon as possible to start teaching her what a family is. We are humbled to share the news that we were gifted a $3000 matching grant from Karis Adoption Fund, administered through Lifesong for Orphans to help bring Lia home. What that means is every dollar that is donated will be doubled! Thank you for being a part of our story.

STRIPE charges an online processing fee (2.2% +.30 USD per transaction). Your donations will be decreased by this amount. You may also send a check payable to “Lifesong for Orphans”.
