Bringing Home Brother

Abigail McKinley
Abigail McKinley NORTH AUGUSTA, South Carolina
We are excited to announce that Rosemary is a BIG SISTER! Her birth mother has chosen us to adopt her precious 💙BaBy BoY💙 due **this May**!
Yes, we are shocked along with a hundred other emotions.  When we had our little girl in our hearts, God had a little girl and a boy for us in His heart.  So, eleven months after we saw our three pound Rosemary in the NICU, we will see her brother!  Rosemary will have a full biological sibling to share her life with.  While we know that God never leaves us alone, we clearly see that this is a tremendous blessing for them to have one another.  We are humbled to be entrusted with another priceless treasure from Rosemary's birthmother.
Will you pray with us?
Birthmother (K) - God would draw near. Adoption is full of hope and pain.  We love her and are thankful to be in her life.
Health of this sweet baby boy.
Our hearts would be prepared for the upcoming events and that we would be full of peace and resist the temptation to fear.
I would LOVE for you to write a note for our boy.  Rosemary has so many sweet letters and cards in her "life box" that details her story.  I long for him to have that same encouragement to read and hold as well in his box.
Obviously, there are many questions that arise with this unexpected news.  To protect our children's story, for it is theirs to tell, we are unable to share many details.  The story is incredible and we do  have some stories that we can and would love to share with you.  Feel free to ask us anything privately.
While it was very uncomfortable for us to fundraise for Rosemary, it actually brought us most of the amazing stories we can share with her when we tell her how God brought her home.  My friend, who had nothing to spare, gave $10.  That meant the world to this Momma's heart and I continue to see their special bond develop. "Laying up the treasures in heaven ties our hearts heavenward." The day we signed the paperwork, we owed $4000.  That morning, a man from GA called and said he wanted to take care of that balance.  Turns out, unbenounced to him and us, he was born in the exact same city Rosemary was - over 12 hours away.  Our hearts sang with joy to see His "fingerprints".
I do not want to presume to know how God works, but I cannot help but think that He gave Rosemary all of these people who contributed their time, money, and love so that she would have these stories to bless her and help her to know that she is exactly where she belongs.  God moved the mountains to bring her home to us.
We know that God calls people to give in a variety of ways, and never wish for anyone to feel obligated.  We do want to extend an invitation if this is what you feel called to do.
The total cost for the adoption is $27,000.  If you feel God is leading you to financially journey with us in bringing our son home, we are excited to share we received $5,000 matching grant from Lifesong for Orphans! It is tax deductible and 100% goes to the adoption.
