Hello friends and family!

We are thrilled to announce that we have received a $5,000 matching grant from Legacy 385 Adoption Fund, which will be administered by Lifesong for Orphans! This is a wonderful opportunity for us to move one step closer to adopting, thank you for taking the time to read our story and for your love and support!

We are the Mardock family and we are pursuing our second adoption and could not be more excited!  Tim is a huge coffee fan, loves to cook and go camping, and is a Dad that loves to have fun with his kids and teach them as many skills as he possibly can. Sara loves warm weather, reading and creating, homeschooling the kids, and is all about choosing joy every day. We have been married for 14 years and have had a ton of wonderful adventures together.  We have lived in four states and worked at various Christian youth camps and non-profits. We have also had 3 incredible kids join our family, they keep it fun every day!  Liam is 12 years old tomorrow and is super smart, loves to make people laugh, is a huge Lego fan, and is the best big brother!  Kaili is 8 years old and has the sweetest heart, loves babies and stuffed animals, is seriously independent, and can’t wait to be a big sister again!  Ryan is 3 years old and is a joy bomb, laughs constantly, is extra loud, and loves to sing and play ball.

Growing up Tim was one of ten children, six of whom were adopted, and he loved being a part of a large family.  He was able to see the beauty of adoption first hand and as he got older he decided he wanted to pursue adoption himself someday, as well as help others do the same.  Sara grew up in a smaller family with no adopted siblings, but always had a heart for adoption and hoped someday she would be able to adopt children.  About 12 years ago we both began working for an adoption agency helping families find their children and helping orphans find their forever families.  Both of us continue working in the adoption world and love watching families being built, it is an honor to be a part of the process. This past year Tim started working to help launch a foster care agency to help find loving homes for local children. Our hearts are completely wrapped up in adoption and after we adopted our son Ryan, we knew we wanted to pursue adoption again.

Adopting Ryan was a crazy, emotional, beautiful experience and one that we cherish every day.  We met Ryan’s birth mother through a mutual friend and after meeting her we knew it was meant to be.  Over the past 3 years we have had an open adoption, which is something we never thought we would consider, and it has been such a wonderful experience.  Ryan’s birth family has become an extension of our family and we enjoy making memories with them and sharing in the joy of watching Ryan grow.  As we pursue another adoption we are filled with excitement and can’t wait for God’s perfect plan for our family to unfold.

So how can you help? Here is where we are in the process: We have already undergone the home study process and have been working to raise money through various fundraisers.  We also have our family profile books completed and ready to be sent out! We are currently waiting to send off our profile books to potential birth mothers until we have raised enough funds to cover all of the necessary related fees. Once we reach that goal we will be able to start sending out our books! Once our profile books go out we could be matched very quickly and will need to be ready with funds in hand so raising this money is a huge deal! Thank you for considering helping us reach this goal, it truly means the world to our family!

Sincerely,

Tim and Sara Mardock
