Bader Adoption Journey

Katelyn Bader
Katelyn Bader Akron, Ohio

My husband Jared and I have always shared the dream of adopting. While we have a biological son of our own, Edison, we dream to commit our family to loving an orphan and making them our son or daughter. We strongly believe every child belongs in a loving family where they can safely thrive, feel unconditionally loved, secure in all their needs being met, and have their culture and heritage embraced, preserved, and celebrated alongside them.

We believe Christ calls us all to play our part in doing what we can to take care of orphans and widows. We have spent several years praying about what kind of role we would have in that process and have been given a passion to grow our family through adoption. We are adopting from South Korea. We have been studying Korea's beautiful history, language, and culture to do our best to ensure our adopted child will be able to have access to as much of their life story as we can possibly give them. We are committed to honoring their birth families, grieving the hardships with our child, celebrating the good times, and committing our families to loving them unconditionally just the way they were created.

There are millions of orphans in the world in need of loving adults to meet their cries, and critical needs for nurturing. We passionately believe every orphan deserves to have their needs met with eager loving families, and deserves to grow up with the opportunity to process finding security in their identity in Christ.
