Aimee was adopted from foster care at age 7. God placed the call on Aimee's life to adopt from a young age. When Aimee and Patrick met and then decided to get married, they agreed adoption was in their future, whether or not they were able to have biological children. They had 3 biological children, then adopted their 4th child when their youngest was 6 years old. We always thought 4 children was the number we would have. Shortly after our adopted daughter was born, Aimee attempted to get rid of baby things. It wasn't working that well, and she couldn't bring herself to get rid of the "big and little brother" things she had bought for their unmatched adoption. God spoke to her heart and told them to adopt again. The feeling of God wanting them to adopt again didn't go away, and they began the process for a second adoption shortly after their adopted daughter's first birthday.
