My husband Bob and I have been blessed with seven beautiful children, three homemade and four adopted. We are still in awe of how God has grown our family; and he’s not done yet! Bob and I never planned on having a large family but after serving on a few medical mission trips in developing countries, we knew we wanted to be the forever family of a child that didn’t have one. We worked in orphanages and experienced firsthand the overwhelming need of children who lacked the basic essentials, yet, wanted nothing more than our love and affection. Our lives were forever changed. Our first adoption experience was a little girl from China. Grace is compassionate and loves Jesus with all her heart. A year later, we adopted a little girl from Ethiopia. Ali is gentle and tenderhearted and likewise dearly loves Jesus. When we considered adopting again, we felt God was calling us to children with special needs. The Lord guided us to a little girl named Maecie and a little boy named Oliver, both of whom were born in China. Maecie has spina bifida and is now thriving. Oliver has albinism, is legally blind and is on the autism spectrum. This year Oliver has reached milestones that the doctor’s thought were not even possible.
With seven children, Bob and I certainly thought our family was complete, but God had different plans. We were recently led to a precious nine-year-old little girl in Taiwan who is severely to profoundly hard of hearing and has epilepsy. We have named her Zoe and are in the process of making her our forever daughter.
Without the generous love, support and giving of our family, friends, co-workers, anonymous givers, and kind strangers, these adoptions would have never been possible. We are so grateful for the love, encouragement, and support we have been given through each of these journeys. As with each adoption, with the cost being close to $40,000 we are again trusting that God will provide through the generosity of others. We have been blessed with an amazing matching grant from the Tim Tebow Foundation, through Lifesong for Orphans. We would love for you to join us on this great adventure to help bring Zoe home to her forever family. Any financial gifts will be matched dollar for dollar up to $4,000 and are completely tax deductible. 100% of your donation will go directly towards bringing our daughter home. Would you please consider making an eternal investment with us to bring Zoe home? With grateful humility and love,
