Across the World to Everly

I knew the moment I saw her face....God was saying, "Go get her, she is your child." When I left China in March of 2014 after adopting Lia, I knew that I would one day be back. While my heart longed to bring another child home, it just didn't seem possible. Finances are tight as I am a single mom and have quite a busy life with two teens, Connor and Maddy, and a toddler, Lia ( also adopted from China). But every time I came back to the photo of "Sammi" ( her advocacy name) I felt like I was looking at my daughter. I prayed, I asked friends to pray...and decided to take the first step and contact the adoption agency with her file. They let me know I would need a "waiver" to adopt "Sammi" ~ who will soon be Everly Mei. I knew if China said yes to the waiver, God was opening the door. Was it scary stepping through and saying, "Yes!!". Certainly. I truly had no idea where the funds would come from. What I did know is that I serve a big God. He has been with me all through the process, showing Himself every step of the way. Everly has many health needs and her adoption has been approved by the U.S and China for an expedited process. So we are moving along quite quickly, and travel looks like it will be the end of January or very beginning of February. I am honored and blessed to be her mom. "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you Hope and a Future!" Jeremiah 29:11
